Wade Donaldson is a former Corrections Officer of Litchfield Penitentiary. He is portrayed by Brendan Burke. He had worked as a CO for at least 20 years, before walking out at the end of Season Three in protest of MCC's policies. Donaldson now works in a restaurant as a busboy.

Personality[]

Donaldson was a stern officer who did not tolerate nonsense from the inmates. He was described as a loyal guard who demonstrated obedience. Despite being one of the strictest guards, he was never uneccesarily cruel towards the inmates, nor did he ever abuse or sexually harass the women. Additionally, when he noticed Daya having a panic attack during the storm, he helped her calm down by instructing her to do jumping jacks (despite not telling her, Bennett, or Aleida what he was doing, leading them to initially think he was simply being cruel)

Physical Appearance[]

Donaldson is a white male of average height. He is mostly bald and appears to be in his 40s.

Biography[]

Season Two[]

In "It Was The Change", Donaldson calms Daya Diaz down during a panic attack by making her do jumping jacks and counting them out loud.

Season Three[]

Donaldson is the inspiration for the character of "Rodcocker" in Suzanne's erotic fiction. He does not appreciate being called "Rodcocker" by the inmates, feeling as though he is being sexually harassed, and brings the issue to the attention of Caputo.

He gets accidentally pepper sprayed by Bayley, one of the new COs.

Donaldson decides to join the union and then quits on Caputo.

Season Four[]

After the walkout at Litchfield, CO Donaldson now works as a busboy in a restaurant in town. He was seen singing a song to a few patrons in the restaurant. He got into an altercation with Joe Caputo after Caputo tipped him $20 for his service at Litchfield as well as an apology for what happened; Donaldson saw it as merely an attempt by Caputo to assuage his guilt.

Donaldson is shown in a flashback watching over a work crew that includes Frieda Berlin, when Baxter Bayley and his friends drive by, throwing an egg and hitting Frieda.  Donaldson shoves Frieda to get her back to work when she yells at the boys.
