Before Red's incarceration[]
Sonya mentions she has abrother who is described by her to be "r*******". Sonya was apart of the Russian women's power-walking group with Marina, who is her best friend. She is shown to be uncomfortable when Red attempts to become a part of the group, and acts cooly towards her, and does not react much to what she says.
When the group ditches Red, she sees Red angrily walking towards her, and insults her. Sonya is shocked when Red ruptures Marina's breast. ("Tit Punch")
