Piper Chapman and Stella Carlin begin to have romantic interests for one another when Stella is first introduced in Season Three working in Whispers. They begin to flirt and develop sexual tension between one another. They first kiss when Alex and Piper are still in a struggling relationship. A romantic relationship between Piper and Stella begins when Piper and Alex break up. It ends when Stella steals Piper's money from Felonious Spunk. In retaliation, Piper frames Stella by planting contraband in her bunk and gets her put in Max right before she is due to be released.
