Mr. Black is the father to Carrie "Big Boo" Black, seen in flashbacks revealed in "Finger in the Dyke". He is portrayed by Kevin Carolan.

Mr. Black seems to be accepting of Big Boo's appearance but tells her to tone it down for her mother a lot.

Mr. Black has a high forehead. He is a heavyset man and has thinning brown hair.
Biography[]
Before Big Boo's incarceration[]
Mr. Black is seen to be indifferent to Carrie's appearance, casually telling her to dress in traditionally feminine clothing for her mother during Picture Day but to change afterwards.
When Carrie tries to visit her mother at the hospital, he asks for Carrie to change once again before stepping into the room. He criticizes her as she protests and is told that she has fought to express herself as she does. Carrie soon leaves him sitting by the door. ("Finger in the Dyke")
