J. Thompson is a Corrections Officer at Litchfield Penitentiary.
Biography[]
He is first seen in "I Wasn't Ready", when he counts the inmates in their bunks including Piper Chapman's bunk she's just arrived at.
In "Tit Punch" he is seen watching orientation; when Piper arrives late, he orders her to sit down. Thompson turns the television on and turns up the volume. Thompson appears again later, controlling Taystee and Flaca's fight.
He was mentioned in "WAC Pack" as suspended on temporary/permanent leave.
