Sometime before Lorna's late teens and early adulthood, Big Joe was physically able, however at some point after this, he ended up requiring a wheelchair. Big Joe is balding.

Biography

Before Morello's incarceration

Big Joe is the father of Lorna Morello. When Lorna was seven years old she received a Eucharist which she refused to eat due to her believing it is an unhealthy food. Big Joe urges Lorna to eat the cracker but she refuses yet again. ("Trust No Bitch")

When Lorna is in her late teens, she is shown living with her father, brother, sister and mentally ill mother. While Lorna is talking to her sister, Big Joe interrupts them and tells them to be quiet while he is watching tv with his son.

During Lorna's trial, Big Joe is seen in the audience. ("A Whole Other Hole")
