Biography[]
Before Healy's employment[]
While Sam was still a young child, he explains to Sam that his mother has an "overactive imagination", causing her to have ECT tests performed upon her. Sam claims that he is being bullied at school as his classmates are of the idea that his mother is "a lesbian who howls at the moon". Dennis is quick to defend his wife and states that she is not a lesbian. When Sam asks what a lesbian actually is, Dennis replies, saying it is a "disease." ("Doctor Psycho")
Dennis' views he broadcasts onto his son are reflective of the era, and are most likely what shaped Healy's views on lesbianism and caused his misogyny in the season.
