Brad William Henke is an American actor. He plays Desi Piscatella in Seasons Four and Five of Orange is the New Black.
Early Life
Henke was born on April 10, 1966 in Columbus, Nebraska, USA.
Career
Originally a professional football player, Henke was forced to retire in 1992 due to repeated ankle injuries which led him to undergo six seperate operations.[1]
In 1994, Henke started his new career in acting, beginning with commercials. He went on to appear in several films; October Road, Around June, The Amateurs, World Trade Center, In the Valley of Elah, Choke, Sherrybaby, Must Love Dogs and Fury.
His television career includes roles in ARLI$$, ER, Dexter, Lost, The Office and Justified.
Henke's major breakthrough role was that of Desi Piscatella in Orange is the New Black. He joined the cast in Season Four and continued the role until the death of his character at the end of Season Five.
Personal Life
Henke was married to actress Katelin Chesna from 2001 to 2008. They had a puggle dog aptly named Pugglez[2] who Henke kept when they split.[3] He now also has another puggle named Girlfriend.
Henke is close to his mother. His father passed away in 2015.[4]
