Brad was Grace Warren's boyfriend when she was 23 years old, as shown in the flashback episode "People Persons". At this time, he and Grace were living together with Grace's mentally disabled adoptive sister Suzanne, whom he was supportive of.
Biography[]
Before Suzanne's incarceration[]
When Suzanne comes home from work one day, she shows Grace and Brad the certificate showing her as "Employee of the Month for September". They are both delighted for her. Grace then explains to Suzanne that she and Brad are going to Chesapeake Bay and that they have to leave her alone for one weekend. Suzanne is very nervous about the prospect but Brad assures her that she can do it, as she is Employee of the Month ("People Persons").
